Located just outside Ballynahinch on the Dromore Rd, we are conveniently located between Belfast and the Mourne Mountains. Our centre is spread over 18 acres of beautiful grounds that include woodland, ponds and many other features to keep both parents and children wanting to explore.
Ballyburren Outdoor Escapes offers a number of mini activities with more being added all the time. If we don’t offer something on our website that you would love us to do for your family, then please ask us. We try to accommodate any request.

Alpaca Trekking
Our unique alpaca trekking experience is perfect for a family day out. Our experience is not around a field like most others. Instead walk with your alpaca along a stoned 1.4km scenic pathway. Maximum of 4 guests per alpaca.
Luxury Picnics
Enjoy a superb luxury picnic hamper after your alpaca trekking experience or book in to one of our picnic only days. Each hamper offers a wide selection and caters for a maximum of two people.
Forest School
We offer a great forest school nestled in one of our woodlands, surrounded by dense leafy trees. Our class size is kept small at just 10 kids to offer a more focused experience. While your child takes part, why not visit our coffee trailer or walk our trail.
Birthday Parties
Does a member of your family or a child have an upcoming birthday? Then we can help make it a great day out. We can offer birthday packages with forest school, alpaca trekking and celebrations on our island with our beautiful coffee trailer.
Parent & Baby Day
Are you sick of busy noisy parks, that never seem to have enough parking spots? Why not try something more relaxing. We only allow a maximum of ten cars in any session to visit with pre-booking online only. Book online and arrive for your slot time with a pram or baby harness and enjoy a relaxing stroll around our beautiful 1.4km stoned pathway, through farmland, woodland and waterways. We have multiple stopping points along the way to allow you to sit down and take it all in. At the end, walk out to our coffee trailer located on an island and enjoy a hot or cold drink and cake. Our car park also has baby changing facilities.
