Alpaca Trekking Business Belfast Telegraph

A great piece in last Sunday’s Belfast Telegraph newspaper about our family business.

A snippet reads “Damien Butler may have had his head in the skies for the past 16 years as a commercial pilot, but the way his new business took off was beyond his wildest dreams.
The part-time airline pilot and his wife Claire launched Ballyburren Outdoor Escapes last summer following four years of intensive labour and a rewilding project on an 18-acre plot of land in Ballynahinch.

The work involved the planting of 1,500 trees, to add to the 4,000 planted in 2002 by the previous owner, and the restoration of a number of ponds.

One of those ponds has an island which is now home to Ballyburren’s coffee trailer.”
